Forbidden City

Two lions guard the entrance to the Forbidden City. One a male to represent claiming this land as his and one a female cub to represent generations.

Some very beautiful architecture and details of the buildings. The emperor built 9999 and 1/2 rooms (he thought 9 was lucky as it is the biggest number).  He also needed many rooms for his concubines since once they came to the city they did not leave until they died.

I think I may have been delirious at this point and made friends with this happy guy.  It is a very long tour. Very beautiful and interesting, wear comfy shoes and sunscreen!
